The Adélie Cove is a 1.5 km wide and 2.5 km long side bay of Terra Nova Bay on the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is on the edge of the Northern Foothills .
They were discovered and named by participants in a campaign run by the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition from 1959 to 1960 . The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee officially adopted this designation on November 16, 1989.
