Ada Air Albania was an Albanian airline based in Tirana . The airline was dissolved in January 2007 due to insolvency.

history

Ada Air Albania was founded in 1991 by two investors, the French Julien Roche and the Albanian Marsel Skendo , under the name Adalbanair . Both owned 50% of the airline each. It is the oldest Albanian airline. On February 5, 1992, the first flight from Tirana to Bari took place. At that time the airline was renamed Ada Air Albania . The IATA took the airline on May 25, 1992. In mid-January 2007 Ada Air Albania no longer had the financial means to pay current bills such as those of Tirana Airport .

Destinations

Between 1992 and 1997, a route network to Greece was established. In recent years, however, only Bari-Palese and occasionally Thessaloniki, Athens and Pristina were flown from Tirana .

fleet

The fleet consisted of an Embraer EMB-110P2 . However, Ada Air very often hired aircraft from other airlines, in particular Jak-40 and Jak-42 from Hemus Air .
