Adalbert H. Lhota

Adalbert H. Lhota (born March 28, 1946 in Chieming ) was chairman of the management of the Automobilclub von Deutschland eV and its affiliated subsidiaries from 1990 to 2007 . Since March 1, 2007, he has been running the newly established international business of the Automobilclub von Deutschland eV as an independent management consultant. On September 1, 2007, he resigned from all offices.

Life

After training as a wholesaler a. a. worked at Bertelsmann, Preussag and Sandoz. In 1989 he moved to the Automobilclub von Deutschland eV and had been chairman of the management there since 1990.

Until December 31, 2007, Lhota was the honorary consul of the Republic of Austria responsible for the federal states of Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate. He was a member of the German Road Safety Council, a member and sponsor of the German Traffic Guard and Senator hc in the Federal Senate of the Federal Association of Economy - Education - Labor Germany.

Lhota was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon in 2000 and the Silver Medal of Honor in 2002 for services to the Republic of Austria . In addition, on October 25, 2007, on the occasion of his departure from the office of Honorary Consul, he received the Golden Decoration of Honor for Services to the Republic of Austria.

On December 1, 2007, Lhota married his partner Marina Giori-Swarovski, sister of Gernot Langes-Swarovski and mother of Fiona Swarovski, in Kirchberg in Tirol .

Since March 2011, Adalbert Lhota has been working for Swarovski as a consultant to the entire advisory board, and he was also appointed director of Swarovski Holding AG.
