Adalbert Metzinger (born June 24, 1950 in Bühl ) is a German educationalist and author who taught as a lecturer at the Fachschule für Sozialpädagogik in Bühl until 2011.

Life

Adalbert Metzinger was born in 1950 as the son of Johann Metzinger and his wife Sofie Metzinger, b. Dinger, born in Bühl (Baden). He grew up in Ottersweier , where he attended elementary and secondary school from 1957 to 1965. He then switched to the three-year commercial college in Bühl. After finishing secondary school, he became a student at the commercial high school in Rastatt , where he graduated from high school in 1970. From 1970 to 1975 he studied educational science , psychology and sociology at the University of Konstanz and completed his studies with a Magister Artium (MA). In August 1975 he began teaching at the Technical School for Social Pedagogy in Bühl with teaching in the subjects of pedagogy , psychology and sociology. In 1992 he received his doctorate with his dissertation ("History of Educator Training: Sources-Concepts-Impulse-Innovations") under Professor Dr. J. Kaltschmid at the University of Heidelberg .

As a part-time job, he set up a youth counseling service in the Haus der Jugend in Bühl, where he also worked as a youth advisor from 1977 to 1978. As a volunteer supervisor and later as a part-time teacher for female prisoners, he worked from 1978 to 1981 in the Bühl penal institution . In 1992 he also took on a teaching position at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Kehl.

Between 1977 and 1988 he worked as an expert in several radio programs on the SWF and Radio Merkur ( children's radio with Ernst Ebel / education and training: Dr. Margret Liede). Since 1969 he has been involved in various political groups (DFG-VK, peace movement, youth center initiative, anti-nuclear power movement, Amnesty International, etc.), where he was particularly active as an employee representative in the GEW .

From 1967 he played in two rock bands and from 1970 appeared with socially critical songs (some of his own songs) in a duo or alone, mostly at political events (demonstrations, May 1st rallies, ai, GEW etc.). The highlight was Walter Krause's invitation to a SWF production for the program “Youngsters and Talents” (1971). On April 12, 2000, Radio 96 broadcast an interview with him and played several of his own songs.
