Adam (voivode)
Adam († 13th century) was a voivode of Sandomierz and castellan of Krakow .
Life
Adam was one of the diplomats of Bolesław the Shameful from 1234 to 1264. He was also cupbearer ( Polish : cześnik ) of Sandomierz from 1244 to 1246 , castellan of Wiślica from 1250 to 1253 , voivode of Sandomierz in 1253 and finally castellan from 1255 to 1264 from Krakow.
Jan Długosz states in his chronicle for the year 1259 that Adam - wrongly called Clemens there - defended the city from the Tartar invasion .
