Adam Friedrich von Lindenau

Adam Friedrich von Lindenau († July 31, 1784 in Lauchstädt ) was an electoral Saxon governor, landscape deputy at the tax credit office in Leipzig and owner of several manors.

Life

A native of the meißnisch - Saxon Ur nobility family of Lindenau with the same name based in Lindenau near Leipzig.

After the death of his father, he became the owner of the Ammelshain manor near Naunhof in the Grimma estate . However, under his management, this property ran into financial problems and he was forced to take out several mortgages. Although he had a not inconsiderable financial income as governor in the neighboring city of Grimma , Adam Friedrich von Lindenau was unable to pay off all his debts. All that remained was sales. For the sum of 36,000 thalers, he sold the Ammelshain manor at the end of 1749 to the chamberlain Ernst Ludwig von Wilcke.

In 1772 he owned the Tackau manor near Teuchern .

Adam Friedrich von Lindenau acquired the same at the auction of the Reuden manor in 1771 from the indebted Lieutenant Heinrich Ernst von Etzdorff for 13,000 guilders. He appointed the two brothers Johann August von Lindenau (Electoral Saxon Appellation Councilor, lived in Altenburg and owned Windischleuba) and Gottlob Heinrich von Lindenau (hunting page) as co-tenants of his newly acquired manor. They were the children of Johann George von Lindenau .

He died during a spa treatment in Lauchstädt in the summer of 1784. He was married to Henriette Philippine Dorothea geb. from Zengen. With her he had three children:

3. Adam Friedrich August (born March 13, 1770 in Mutzschau)
