Adam Galos

Adam Galos (born July 22, 1924 in Krakow , † April 11, 2013 in Wroclaw ) was a Polish historian. He was a professor at the University of Wroclaw (Faculty of Education and History). His research area was German history in the 19th and 20th centuries and the history of Galicia .

The Institute of History (Instytut Historyczny Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego) was created at the University of Wrocław under Ewa and Karol Maleczyński . In 1974 a center for German research was established there, which dealt with the evaluation of Silesian history and German-Polish relations. Adam Galos was one of the scientists entrusted with this.

From 1969 to 1972 and from 1981 to 1985 Galos headed the History Institute at the University of Wroclaw.
