Adam Ludwig von Wuthenau , also Adam Ludewig von Wuthenau , (born September 12, 1706 in Wörbzig , † April 23, 1763 in Merseburg ) was a royal Polish and electoral Saxon chamberlain , cathedral dean of the Merseburg monastery , collegiate and presiding consistorial councilor zu Merseburg, senior court assessor in Leipzig , supervisor at the Saale and Unstrut rafts as well as heir, feudal and court lord on Glesien and Kölsa .

Life

He came from the Brandenburg nobility family von Wuthenau and was born in the Anhalt-Koethen town of Wörbzig as the eldest son of the imperial lieutenant colonel Christian Ludwig von Wuthenau, who died in 1717. Shortly after the birth of his first son Adam Ludwig, his father acquired the Glesien manor in the Duchy of Saxony-Merseburg , to which the village of Kölsa also belonged. There he settled permanently with his family. After the early death of his father, Adam Ludwig von Wuthenau inherited the paternal property together with his four younger brothers August Heinrich, Christian Ernst, Carl Lebrecht and Hans Friedrich von Wuthenau. In a comparison with his brothers, Adam Ludwig von Wuthenau became the sole owner of Glesien and Kölsa in 1739. At that time, Adam Ludwig von Wuthenau was court master of the Princely Courland, senior court judge for Leipzig and canon of Merseburg. Later he moved to the service of Elector Friedrich August II. Of Saxony, who was also King of Poland until 1763. Adam Ludwig von Wuthenau rose to become cathedral dean in the Merseburg Monastery.

Adam Ludwig von Wuthenau died at the age of 57 on the morning of April 23, 1763 at 8 o'clock and was buried five days later in the evening in the family crypt in the castle and cathedral church in Merseburg.

He was married to Christiane Armgarde Magdalene since 1746, widowed Baroness von Zech, nee. from Burckersroda .

According to his will, which was filed in court in October 1762, his main heir was his only surviving son Ludwig Adam Christian von Wuthenau , who was born on June 28, 1751 and was under the age of majority when his father died. His uncle, Colonel Carl Lebrecht von Wuthenau, was appointed as his guardian. Ludwig Adam Christian von Wuthenau died as a court judge in Dresden in 1805.
