Martin started the US Super Tour for the first time in January 2012 in Saint Paul , finishing 12th in the 10K mass start race and 14th in the pursuit. At the Junior World Championships in 2014 in Val di Fiemme , he ran to 40th place in the skiathlon , 26th place over 10 km classic and 12th place with the relay. In the 2015/16 season he achieved six top ten finishes, including third place over 15 km classic in Houghton , ninth place in the overall ranking of the US Super Tour. At the U23 World Championships in 2016 in Râșnov , he achieved 29th place over 15 km freestyle and 23rd place over 15 km classic and at the U23 World Championships 2017 in Soldier Hollow, he came 22nd over 15 km freestyle and 15th place in skiathlon. In the 2017/18 season he came in seven places in the top ten, including a place in the 50 km mass start race in Craftsbury , in seventh place in the overall standings of the US Super Tour. After he achieved second place in the Australia / New Zealand Cup in summer 2018 and thus finished eighth in the overall standings, he made his debut in the World Cup in Ruka in November 2018 , which he classically finished in 53rd place over 15 km finished. In the following Lillehammer Tour he ran in 61st place. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol , he came 54th in the skiathlon and 45th in the 50 km mass start race. In the 2019/20 season, he finished in the top ten nine times in the US Super Tour. He clinched his first classic victory in the US Super Tour in Minneapolis over 10 km and came third in the overall standings at the end of the season.
