Adam Phillips

Adam Phillips (born September 19, 1954 in Cardiff ) is a British author and psychoanalyst with his own practice in London. Since 2003 he has been the editor of the new English translation of Sigmund Freud's work, which is published by Penguin Books .

He writes regularly for the London Review of Books and the New York Times and has been Visiting Professor in the Department of English and Related Literature at the University of York since 2006 . Several of his essays and books on literature, philosophy and psychoanalysis have been translated into German, French, Italian, Greek, Chinese and Japanese, among others.
