Adam van Noort
Adam van Noort (* 1562 in Antwerp ; † 1641 ibid) was a Flemish painter .
Life
Noort lived in his hometown, where he mainly painted portraits and historical scenes . Only a small part of his work has survived. Noort is mainly known as a teacher, his students included Hendrik van Bolen the Elder , Peter Paul Rubens , Sebastian Vrancx and son-in-law Jacob Jordaens , who was married to van Noort's daughter Elisabeth.
