Addictive was an Australian thrash metal band from Sydney that was formed in 1988 and split up in 1996.

history

The band was formed in 1988 and consisted of bassist and vocalist Greg Smith, guitarists Joe Buttigiey and Mick Sultana, and drummer Matt Coffey. In the same year the band released their first demo Ward 74 . After the debut album was released the following year, Steve Moore joined the line-up as the new drummer. The band then recorded their second album, Kick 'Em Hard with producer Bob Daisley . After some delay the album was released in 1993. In 1996 the band broke up.

style

The band plays classic Thrash Metal, which is described as a mixture of Dark Angel , Metallica and Testament , with the vocals reminiscent of James Hetfield . Lyrically, the band deals with topics such as alcoholism, psychological problems and the destruction of the environment.
