Player career
society
Offensive player Camaití, who was used in the position of the left winger, belonged to the squad of Club Atlético Peñarol in the Primera División from 1935 to 1944 . In 1935 , 1936 , 1937 , 1938 and 1944 his club won the Uruguayan Championship. Up until and including 1940 he was a regular player. In the following two years Antonio Núñez and Amador Regueiro occupied "his" left wing position. In 1943 and 1944 he shared the working hours with Raúl Emeal and Ernesto Vidal, respectively . In 1936 he was behind Severino Varela (13 goals) and tied with Segundo Villadónica with twelve goals scored the second most successful goalscorer of the club.
National team
Camaití was a member of the senior national team of Uruguay , for which he completed 14 international matches between January 2, 1937 and July 18, 1940. He scored two international goals. He was part of the Uruguayan squad at the South American Championships in 1937 and 1939 . He also took part with Uruguay in 1937 at the Copa Lipton , in 1940 at the Copa Rio Branco and in 1941 at the Copa Hector Gomez .
