The 1936 season of the Primera División was the 33rd season (the 5th of the professional era) of the Uruguayan top division in men's football , the Primera División .
The Primera División consisted of ten clubs in the championship season of 1936, whose teams met twice in a total of 90 championship games. There were 18 game days. Club Atlético Peñarol won the championship as first in the table in front of the second and third-placed clubs Nacional Montevideo and Rampla Juniors . A relegated team was not determined that season. The top scorer was Aníbal Ciocca with 14 goals .
