The 1957 season of the Primera División was the 54th season (the 26th of the professional era) of the Uruguayan top division in men's football , the Primera División .

The championship won Nacional Montevideo as first in the table in front of Club Atlético Peñarol and Club Atlético Defensor as second and third in the season's final table .
