The 1963 season of the Primera División was the 60th season (the 32nd of the professional era) of the Uruguayan top division in men's football , the Primera División .

The Primera División consisted of ten clubs in the championship season of 1963, whose teams met twice in a total of 90 championship games. There were 18 game days. The championship won Nacional Montevideo as first in the table in front of Club Atlético Peñarol and the Montevideo Wanderers as second and third in the season's final table . The bottom of the table Liverpool FC was relegated from the Primera División to the Segunda División . The top scorer was Pedro Rocha with 18 goals .
