The 1975 season of the Primera División was the 72nd season (the 44th of the professional era) of the Uruguayan top division in men's football , the Primera División .

The Primera División consisted in the championship season of 1975 from twelve clubs, whose teams met twice in a total of 132 championship games played from the beginning of March to the end of July of the year. 405 goals were scored. Club Atlético Peñarol won the championship unbeaten as first in the table ahead of Nacional Montevideo and Liverpool FC as second and third in the season's final table . Promoted racing had to relegate to the Segunda División after only one season . Peñarol and Nacional qualified for the 1976 Copa Libertadores .

As in the two previous years, Fernando Morena from Master Peñarol was the top scorer with 34 goals .
