Adele Romanski is an American film producer .

Life

Romanski's first film production was the 2010 tragic comedy The Freebie , in which Katie Aselton both starred, directed and wrote the screenplay. In the following years she was involved in the films Black Rock , Morris from America and Kicks .

The film Moonlight from the year 2016, in which Barry Jenkins directed, was under the Academy Awards 2017 as Best Film Award. When La La Land was first announced as the winner at the award ceremony , but then after Moonlight discovered an error , the producer Fred Berger Romanski presented the Oscar trophy. At the end of June 2017, Romanski became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences .

Adele Romanski is married to cinematographer James Laxton , who was also nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Cinematography for the film Moonlight at the 2017 Academy Awards .

In 2018 she was appointed to the competition jury of the 68th Berlin International Film Festival .
