Adelphi Records is an independent American music label that was founded by Eugene Rosenthal in Silver Spring in 1968 and is still in operation today.

Musicians and music groups

Well-known artists who have made recordings on this versatile label are initially blues musicians such as Roy Book Binder , Roy Buchanan , RL Burnside , David Honeyboy Edwards , Paul Geremia , Mississippi John Hurt , Skip James , Furry Lewis , Little Brother Montgomery and Bukka White ( Blues). Jazz activities have also been recorded since 1977, centered around Lenny Breau , Reuben Brown and Richie Cole ; but there are also albums by Steve Lacy , David Murray , Jessica Williams and Phil Woods . Other activities include gospel ( Rev. Gary Davis and Rev. Robert Wilkins ), reggae ( Yellowman , Big Youth and Toots & the Maytals ) and rock music (The Nighthawks and Catfish Hodge).
