Career

In the club

Adem Kapič took his first steps in professional football in his native Ljubljana, at the clubs Cosmos Ljubljana and Olimpija Ljubljana . In 1995 he moved to Switzerland to FC Biaschesi , from there followed two moves to Germany to Concordia Ihrhove and MSV Duisburg . However, the Slovenian could not assert himself in Duisburg and he returned to his homeland in 1999, to ND Gorica . After a season in Slovenia, the midfielder moved back to Germany, first to Alemannia Aachen and then to the Stuttgarter Kickers . With the relegation of the Kickers in the Regionalliga Süd , he moved to the Hungarian first division club Ferencváros Budapest . There he had the most successful time of his career as a footballer, when he played continuously in the UEFA Cup between 2002 and 2005 . This was followed by two positions in Hungary and a time in Israel before finally ending his career in 2008. In the 2013/14 season he made another comeback at the Hungarian third division club Szeged 2011 .

In the national team

Due to his successful time in Hungary, the then Slovenian national coach Bojan Prašnikar became aware of the midfielder, so that Kapič made his international debut against Hungary on August 20, 2003 .
