The residential building Adenauerplatz 7 is in the city of Mönchengladbach in North Rhine-Westphalia . It was built in 1890. The building was entered in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach under no. A 031 on August 7, 1990 .

location

The building is located on the southern side of Kaiserplatz in a closed mixed development between Albertus and Adenauerstrasse.

architecture

It is a two-and-a-half-story, four-axis, eaves-standing building. Smooth stepped base. Ground floor with strong striped cuboids, first floor with delicate, flat, striped cuboids of different heights. On the ground floor on the right the deeply cut house entrance between lateral, fluted, Doric pilasters and with straight entablature roofing , in it a " running dog ". The three left axes of the ground floor are simply framed (with ears ) and lie on a continuous cornice . A diamond boss frieze between this sill cornice and the base . Windows on the first floor - resting on a continuous sill cornice over diamond-coated plinths - with fluted Corinthian pilaster framing and triangular gable roofing.

Above the first floor: a mezzanine - as an attic; between the four small windows fields filled with festoons . Above that a roof beam. Inside: stucco decorations in the foyer ; stairs in wood in the stairwell ; partly old doors and door frames.
