Adhemar Canavesi , also known as Adhemar Canavessi , (born August 18, 1903 , † November 14, 1984 ) was a Uruguayan football player .

society

The Canavesi used as defender played at least in the years 1927 to 1928 for the Montevidean club Bella Vista , with whom he finished tenth and ninth place in the table at the end of the season. He was also a member of the Club Atlético Peñarol squad in the Primera División in 1931, 1932 and 1934 . During this period, the Aurinegros won the Uruguayan championship in 1932. This was the first title awarded after the introduction of professional football in Uruguay.

National team

Canavesi was also a member of the Uruguayan senior team . Overall, he completed nine internationals from his debut on July 14, 1925 to his last game for the Celeste on June 7, 1928. He did not score a hit. He took part in the 1927 South American Championship with the national team. Uruguay finished second behind the Argentine selection. Canavesi participated in two encounters. In the tournament game against Argentina on November 20, 1927, he underwent an own goal to make it 2-3 final. At the 1928 Summer Olympics Canavesi celebrated with the squad of Celeste his greatest career success. The team became Olympic champions. Canavesi played a game in the Olympic tournament.
