The Adie Inlet is a fjord-like and icy bay that extends east of the Churchill Peninsula on the Oskar II coast of Graham Land over a length of 40 km into the interior of the Antarctic Peninsula .
It was mapped by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) and photographed from the air in 1947 as part of the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948) under the direction of the US polar explorer Finn Ronne . The survey named the bay after the South African geologist Raymond John Adie (1926-2006), who worked for the FIDS from 1947 to 1949.
