Adja Arrete Ndiaye (born February 26, 1984 ) is a Senegalese sprinter and hurdler who specializes in the 100 meter hurdles .

Athletic career

Adja Arrete Ndiaye gained her first international experience at the 2001 World Youth Championships in Debrecen , where she was disqualified in the 400-meter run and eliminated with the Senegalese sprint relay (1000 meters) in 2: 25.40 minutes in the preliminary run. The following year she reached the finals at the Junior World Championships in Kingston with the 4 x 400 meter relay, but did not start again there. In addition, she was disqualified with the 4 x 100 meter relay. In 2008 she took part in the hurdles sprint for the first time at the African Championships in Addis Ababa and finished fifth in 14.08 s. The following year she was eliminated from the Summer Universiade in Belgrade with 13.80 s in the first round and was seventh at the Francophonie Games in Beirut in 13.89 s. Two years later she reached eighth place in the Africa Games in Maputo in 14.54 s.

In 2012, she was eliminated from the African Championships in Porto-Novo with 14.64 s in the run-up and two years later she was sixth in the final at the African Championships in Marrakech in 13.60 s and came with the 4 x 100 meter relay not the goal. In 2018 she finished seventh at the African Championships in Asaba in 14.63 s and sixth place with the relay in 47.73 s.

In 2009 Ndiaye became Senegalese champion in the 100 meter run.
