Adolf Arenhold (administrative lawyer)

Adolf Arenhold (* around 1803 in Hanover , † 1857 in Osterholz ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Life

Adolf Arenhold was one of the sons of the court advisor and secret chancellery Adolf Johann Gustav Arenhold (1768-1854). From 1821 he studied law at the University of Göttingen and was a member of the Corps Hannovera Göttingen during his studies . After completing his studies in 1824, Arenhold entered the administrative service of the Kingdom of Hanover. In 1826 he became an auditor in the Reinhausen office and in the same year also a canon of the St. Peter and Paul Monastery in Bardowick . In 1830 he was an official assessor in the Hanover office and at the same time, as an editor, he contributed to the Hanover intelligence department . In 1836 he was transferred to the Diepenau office and in 1845 to Stolzenau an der Weser. In 1853 he became a bailiff in the Osterholz office , where he retired in 1856 and died the following year.

He married Antonie Reiche and had two sons with her. His younger brother Lüder Arenhold was a bailiff in the Soltau office .
