Adolf Bode

Adolf Bode (born January 4, 1904 in Offenbach am Main , † June 3, 1970 ibid) was a German painter .

Adolf Bode was a student at the Offenbach School of Applied Arts , today's Offenbach am Main University of Design . Initially a member of the Darmstadt Secession , Bode took part in the founding of the Offenbach Artists' Association in 1926 and was one of the first artists to receive funding from inexpensive studios and apartments as part of the city's artist program from 1927. In addition to pictures and drawings, Adolf Bode created numerous wall paintings in private and public buildings, including the atrium of the German Leather Museum , which he decorated in the style of an early rock drawing.

Awards

In 1932 Bode received the Georg Büchner Prize .
