Adolf Bube
Adolf Bube (born September 23, 1802 in Gotha ; † October 17, 1873 there ) was a Thuringian poet and archivist .
Life
As the son of a captain, Bube enjoyed private lessons in Molsdorf near Erfurt. In 1817 he attended the Ernestinum grammar school in Gotha and then studied philology, literature and archeology from 1821 to 1824 at the University of Jena . During his studies he became a member of the Jena fraternity in 1821 .
After studying philosophy and theology in Jena , he became director and archivist of the Ducal Art Cabinet at Schloss Friedenstein .
He wrote numerous Thuringian sagas and volumes of poetry and was the poet of the famous song from the Jesusbrünnlein ( Hörselberge ).
