Adolf Bucher (born November 18, 1878 in Egolzwil ; † December 6, 1977 in Uetikon ; Catholic , resident in Egolzwil) was a Swiss politician (SP) .

Life

Adolf Bucher was born on November 18, 1878 in Egolzwil as the son of the Wagner Lorenz Bucher from Geuensee and the Jakobea born Kupper. The graduate of a mechanic's apprenticeship worked from 1905 to 1917 in his trained profession at the Federal Ammunition Factory in Thun . He was then from 1917 to 1933 secretary of the Thun section of the Swiss Metal and Watch Workers' Association (Smuv). In addition, the social democrat was a member of the local council from 1910 to 1918 and the city ​​council of Thun from 1918 to 1933 . At the same time, he was a workers' representative in the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern from 1918 to 1934 . In addition, he took a seat on the National Council from 1919 to 1927 .

In 1934 he retired from politics, moved to Bern and returned to his original profession. Adolf Bucher, who married Liniger, who was born in 1912, died on December 6, 1977 at the age of 99 in Uetikon.
