Adolf E. Hofmeister

Adolf E. Hofmeister (born December 17, 1943 ) is a German historian and archivist . His main focus was the history of Bremen and the older regional history of Lower Saxony .

Life

In 1975 Hofmeister submitted his dissertation to the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Göttingen under the title The Stader Elbmarschen before colonization . From 1977 to 2008 he worked as an archivist at the Bremen State Archives , from 2000 to 2003 he was its provisional director.
