Adolphus Furstenberg

Adolphus JP Fürstenberg M. Afr. (Born November 19, 1908 in Iserlohn ; † November 12, 1988 in Cologne ) was a German Roman Catholic bishop .

Career

Fürstenberg was ordained a priest on March 28, 1936. From 1936 to 1987 he served as a missionary in Zambia . On December 11, 1958, he was appointed Vicar Apostolic of Abercorn and titular Bishop of Termessus . Lorenz Jaeger consecrated him on January 29, 1959 as bishop. From 1959 until his release in 1987 he was Bishop of Abercorn or Mbala .
