Adolf Fauland

Adolf Fauland (born May 3, 1933 in Leoben ; † August 10, 2013 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ), steel controller and chairman of the workers' works council. Fauland was a member of the National Council from 1977 to 1990 .

After compulsory schooling, Fauland attended the three-year factory school of VÖEST-Alpine Montan AG in Donawitz , where he was employed in this factory from 1949. Fauland was a steel controller from 1958 and continued his education for three years at a trade union school and at the Otto-Möbes-Volkswirtschaftsschule in Graz .

From 1959 Fauland held various shop stewards and works council functions for the socialist union faction at the Donawitz plant and was deputy workers council chairman in 1970 and workers council chairman from 1974. He also acted as a member of the central works council of VÖEST-Alpine Montan AG. Fauland was also active in the SPÖ Donawitz as a deputy chairman and held various other functions in the SPÖ Styria and in the union. Fauland represented the SPÖ in the National Council from September 28, 1977 to November 4, 1990.
