Adolf Firnrohr
Adolf Firnrohr (born September 5, 1889 in Karlsruhe , † October 8, 1914 in Meurchin ) was a German football player .
Career
Firnrohr played for the Karlsruher FC Phönix , which from 1912 - after merging with FC Alemannia - called itself Karlsruher FC Phönix (Phönix-Alemannia) , as a midfielder in the championships organized by the Association of South German Football Associations .
From 1904 to 1908 he played within the Südkreis in the Gau Mittelbaden, from 1908 to 1914 in the more competitive and not subdivided into Gaue Südkreis, from which he and his team emerged as champions in 1909 and thus also took part in the finals for the South German Championship . In this, his team prevailed first in front of the other three district champions. Winning the South German Championship entitled his team to participate in the final round of the German Championship in which, however, he was not used. As part of the team that won the final against BTuFC Viktoria 89 in Breslau on May 30, 1909 in front of 1500 spectators with 4: 2, he can still call himself German champion.
