Adolf Franke (chemist)

Adolf Franke (born February 19, 1874 in Vienna ; † January 1, 1964 ) was an Austrian chemist .

Life

Adolf Franke studied chemistry and received his doctorate in 1899 under Adolf Lieben at the University of Vienna and qualified as a professor in analytical chemistry . In 1924 he was appointed full professor and head of the Second Chemical Institute at the University of Vienna. His research area was analytical chemistry, with particular emphasis on experimental chemistry. Franke was awarded the Lieben Prize of the Austrian Academy of Sciences .
