Adolf Goetze (administrative lawyer)

Adolf Goetze (born July 5, 1837 in Otterndorf ; † May 26, 1920 in Hanover ) was a German administrative lawyer and most recently director of the Landeskreditanstalt in Hanover.

Life

Goetze, son of a lawyer, studied law in Heidelberg and Göttingen . In Heidelberg he was a member of the Corps Vandalia . In Göttingen he joined the Corps Bremensia . In 1861 he passed the auditor examination in Hanover. In 1864 he became an official assessor in Rotenburg (Wümme) , then in Lüneburg , in 1868 city counsel and police director in Stade , in 1879 district chief in Himmelpforten and in 1885 district administrator in Stade . In 1895 he resigned from the civil service as a secret government councilor and became director of the state credit institution in Hanover. In 1911 he retired.
