Adolf Hahnl

Adolf Hahnl (born April 2, 1938 ) is an Austrian art historian and librarian.

Life

He completed his studies with Hans Sedlmayr with a doctorate ( studies for Wolfgang Hagenauer (1726–1801) ) as a Dr. phil. 1969 at the University of Salzburg . He headed the monastery library of the Archabbey of St. Peter from 1968 to 2003 under Friedrich Karl Hermann , since 2003 he has been a library consultant. From 1974 to 2003 he was also a member of the Salzburg Cathedral Museum under the direction of Johannes Neuhardt . In 1977 he was involved in setting up the Mattsee Abbey Museum. Since 1980 he has been archivist at Mattsee Abbey .
