Friedrich Karl Hermann

Friedrich Karl Hermann OSB (born August 30, 1913 in Gemnitz ; † March 26, 1997 in Salzburg ) was an Austrian Roman Catholic clergyman and professor of church history .

Life

Karl Hermann entered the Benedictine monastery of St. Peter's Archabbey in 1932 . In 1950 he qualified as a professor at the theological faculty in Salzburg with the work "The foundation of the old Salzburg University" for the subject of church history. He taught as a professor of church history from 1967 to 1983 and was dean of the faculty in the academic year 1968/1969 at the University of Salzburg .
