Adolf Imboden

Adolf Imboden (born September 10, 1864 in Herbriggen , † October 13, 1935 in Visp ) was a Valais politician , lawyer , notary and judge . He was one of the founders of the Agricultural School in Visp, today's Agricultural Center Visp (LZV), also a major sponsor of Upper Valais industry and legal advisor to Lonza Works .

family

Imboden Niklaus, father of Adolf Imboden, played a key role in the formation of today's St. Niklaus parish . Imboden Niklaus was mayor of St. Nicholas and the Valais cantonal parliament .

Politician

Adolf Imboden was Vice-Prefect from 1893–1903 and Governor of the Government in Visp from 1903–1921. In addition, he was 1893-1921 conservative Catholic Wallis Grand Council (today CVP) , 1914-1915 President of the same.

Judge

As a lawyer and notary, Adolf Imboden was Cantonal Judge in Valais from 1921–1935, and President of the Cantonal Court from 1929–1930 and 1934–1935 .
