Adolf Mauk (born May 8, 1906 in Lauffen am Neckar ; † January 24, 1983 there ) was a German politician of the FDP / DVP .

Life

After an agricultural apprenticeship and time as a journeyman, Mauk passed the master gardener exam and took over the family business. Since 1928 he was involved in the Württemberg regional association of fruit and horticultural associations , of which he later became chairman. He also participated in the founding of the Württemberg fruit and vegetable economy GmbH . After 1945 he was also elected to the board of the German Farmers' Association and the German Raiffeisen Association. In addition, he was chairman of the fruit and vegetable specialist committee at Württembergische Raiffeisen eGmbH and chairman of the horticultural work group and the specialist committee for vegetable, fruit and horticultural products at the central market and price reporting office .

Mauk had been a member of the German Bundestag from April 7, 1952, when he was re-elected in the Heilbronn constituency for the late Georg Kohl , until 1969. In the 1953 election he was able to hold the direct mandate, after which he was elected to parliament via the Baden-Württemberg state list of the FDP / DVP. The focus of his work was agricultural policy , from 1957 to 1961 he headed the corresponding working group of the FDP parliamentary group.

From November 29, 1961 to January 21, 1970 he was also a member of the European Parliament .
