Georg Kohl

Georg Kohl (born May 30, 1881 in Munich ; † January 31, 1952 in Brackenheim ) was a German politician of the DVP , the predecessor organization of today's FDP Baden-Württemberg .

After his school and university days, Kohl worked as a political editor and from 1907 to 1934 as a newspaper publisher ( Zaber-Bote ) in Brackenheim. From 1919 to 1933 he was on the Brackenheim municipal council and also served as chairman of the district trade association and member of the Chamber of Crafts . After 1945 he was again a local councilor in Brackenheim and a district council member.

Kohl had been a member of the German Bundestag from his first election in 1949 until his death. He was directly elected to parliament in the Heilbronn constituency.

Kohl was a partner in the information technology company Taylorix and supplied the required products with his print shop.
