Adolf Nocker

Adolf Franz Gerard Nöcker (born August 16, 1856 in Cologne ; † April 27, 1917 there ) was a German architect in Cologne. His son was the architect Peter Franz Nöcker .

Life

Nöcker studied at the technical universities in Aachen and Berlin . There he was a student of Franz Ewerbeck , Henerici and Raschdorff, among others . From 1880 he worked as an architect in Cologne. From 1904 to 1917 he was a city councilor for Cologne as a representative of the Center Party . He was one of the founders of the Association of German Architects , the Meister Wilhelm Association and the Ars Sacra Association .

Adolf Nöcker died at the age of 60 and was buried in Cologne's south cemetery (hall 20).

In Cologne-Bickendorf , Nöckerstraße is named after him.
