Adolf Reitmaier

Adolf Reitmaier (born June 12, 1895 in Weyer ; † September 4, 1963 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and party secretary. Reitmaier was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1932 to 1934 .

After elementary school Reitmaier attended a community school and subsequently completed an apprenticeship as a confectioner . He attended the Viennese party school of the Social Democratic Workers' Party and was active as an editor. Between 1921 and 1925 Reitmaier was a staff representative in the Army Ministry , and between May 21, 1932 and February 16, 1934 he represented the SDAP in the Lower Austrian state parliament. Reitmaier was arrested in 1934 and lost his state parliament mandate in the wake of the SDAP's ban. After the end of the Second World War, Reitmaier worked for a few years as the secretary of Theodor Körner when he was mayor of Vienna.
