Adolf Rodde (politician)

Adolf Rodde (born September 10, 1567 in Münster , † August 31, 1617 in Lübeck ) was a merchant and councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck in the 17th century.

Adolf Rodde was the son of Johann Rodde (approx. 1530–1603) in Münster. He was the founder of the important Lübeck merchants' house Rodde , which existed in Lübeck until the beginning of the 19th century and then went down during the Lübeck French era . He married a daughter of the Lübeck businessman Mattheus Bremer . In 1612 he was already elected to the city council as an immigrant. His son Matthäus Rodde became mayor of Lübeck . A daughter marries Adolf Brüning, councilor from Lübeck .
