Adolph Rodde

Adolph Rodde (* 1688 in Lübeck ; † November 15, 1732 ibid) was a Lübeck merchant and councilor .

Life

Adolph Rodde was a nephew of the Lübeck merchant and mayor Hermann Rodde . In 1702 he entered this uncle's business. For this act he traveled to Amsterdam in 1706, London in 1709 and France and Italy from 1711–1713. He then went into business for himself as a member of the merchant company in Lübeck . In 1732 he was elected to the Lübeck council.

Adolph Rodde was married to a daughter of the businessman Nikolaus Brüning . The mayor of Lübeck, Franz Bernhard Rodde, was his son.
