Adolphe-Joseph-Louis Alizard ( December 19, 1814 in Paris - January 23, 1850 in Marseille ) was a French opera singer ( bass ).
Life
Alizard first studied violin in Paris with Christian Urhan . Since his voice was discovered in the process, he had it trained by David Banderali at the Paris Conservatory from 1834 to 1836 . In 1837 he made his debut at the Paris Opera . Due to his short stature , however, he was only given insignificant roles, so that in 1842 he went to the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, where he performed very successfully. In 1845 he was in Italy , but soon returned to the Paris Opera. When everything pointed to a great career for him, he fell ill and died at the age of only 35.
