Adrian Archibald (* 1969 in Ballymoney , Northern Ireland ) is a former English motorcycle racer . Archibald only drove street races .

Career

Archibald grew up in the same town as motorcycle superstar Joey Dunlop . He began his career with the first races in 1992. He proved that he could keep up with the world class level with the TAS team from Suzuki in 2003 with a victory over John McGuinness at the TT . His team mate David Jefferies had a fatal accident during a training run for the same race. He moved from TAS to AIM Yamaha in 2005, but returned the following year to replace the injured Ryan Farquhar . From 2008 he joined his own team AMA with mediocre financial and sporting success. Due to the increasingly difficult search for sponsors, Archibal announced his retirement in January 2013 after 21 years in racing. By then he had 100 national victories in road races on his account.
