Adrian Feuerbacher

Adrian Feuerbacher (* 1973 in Leonberg ) is a German radio journalist. Since February 1, 2020, he has been head of the radio program NDR Info and editor-in-chief of NDR radio.

After studying economics and social sciences in Göttingen and Chapel Hill (North Carolina), Feuerbacher initially worked for NDR Info as a freelancer for the news and as a program presenter. In 2003 he became a correspondent for the NDR radio programs in the ARD capital studio in Berlin. In 2008 he returned to Hamburg and worked until 2013 as a speaker for the NDR radio director Joachim Knuth . Until 2020 he heads the politics and current affairs program group at NDR Info and was deputy to program director Claudia Spiewak , who retired at the end of January 2020.

Feuerbacher's area of ​​responsibility also includes investigative research on the radio program. Together with journalists from Süddeutscher Zeitung, NDR television, West German radio and numerous international media, NDR Info Reporter published the Paradise Papers in 2017 . For the participation of NDR Info in the international research project Panama Papers , Feuerbacher and the reporter Benedikt Strunz received the German Radio Prize in 2016 in the category Best News and Information Format.

Feuerbacher was also awarded a Kurt Magnus Prize by ARD in 2006 and an Arthur F. Burns Fellowship in 2002.
