Claudia Spiewak

Claudia Spiewak (born October 1, 1954 in Hamburg ) is a German journalist . From January 2008 to January 2020 Claudia Spiewak was program director of NDR Info and at the same time editor-in-chief of NDR radio.

After graduating from the Catholic Sophie Barat School , she studied German, sociology and education at the University of Hamburg . After a traineeship at the Harburg advertisements and news and at NDR, she became editor for state politics at the national radio program NDR 90.3 in 1983, switched to NDR 2 in 1988. This was followed by a time as Scandinavia correspondent for the ARD radio station in Stockholm from the Scandinavian countries . Since 1996 she has worked on international reporting as an editor and has since headed the Politics and Current Affairs program group. From 2004 to 2008 she was program manager at NDR 90.3, afterwards and until her retirement in January 2020 in a similar position at NDR Info.

She is married to the politician Hermann Scheunemann , whom she met at a public hearing.
