The Lindner Group (fully Lindner Group KG ) is a limited partnership registered on November 11, 2010, which goes back to Lindner Holding KGaA, which was registered on January 31, 1991 . The largest subsidiary is Lindner SE (Lindner AG until 2020), whose roots go back to 1965. In addition, the Lindner Group includes 80 other subsidiaries from the fields of construction and real estate, hotel and catering, brewing and agriculture (as of 2018). In particular, the Lindner Group creates building envelopes, interior and complete fittings, acoustics, clean room technology and insulation technology. In 2018, the group of companies generated sales of EUR 1.01 billion with 6,884 employees.

The company has production facilities and subsidiaries around the world, with its headquarters located in Arnstorf in Lower Bavaria .

Lindner SE (until 2020 Lindner AG)

The Lindner Aktiengesellschaft ceiling, floor, partition wall systems is in the number of employees and turnover by far the largest subsidiary of the group.

1960s

In 1965, Hans Lindner started his own business with Akustik Lindner GmbH and received his first order from the Agricultural Vocational School Deggendorf for suspended acoustic ceilings. Three years later, major contracts followed, such as underground stations in Munich, the Stachus building in Munich and at the University of Regensburg.

1970s

The first production facility in Arnstorf was established in 1970, a carpenter's workshop that produces ceiling and partition wall systems. In 1971 Lindner was awarded the contract for student houses, the Olympic riding facility and the Olympic village in Munich. The complete expansion of the University of Wuppertal followed in 1976.

1980s

At the beginning of the 1980s, the first foreign subsidiary was founded in Baden near Vienna , Austria, Jade Holzwerke in Wilhelmshaven was acquired and Lindner Isolation Technology started after the Röckelein craft business from Munich was taken over. Due to the increasing success of the company, it has been possible since 1984 to pay out 15% of their profits to their employees. In 1987 the first system floors, so-called raised and cavity floors, were produced and internationalization towards Great Britain and Eastern Europe was pushed forward. In the following year 1988 there was a restructuring to Lindner AG ceiling, floor and partition wall systems .

The first gutting work with the professional disposal of building materials that are harmful to health, such as asbestos, is carried out by Lindner Pollutant Restoration.

1990s

In 1995, Lindner AG (now Lindner SE) received its largest order with a 160,000 m² area of ​​metal corners for Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok Airport .

2000s

In 2008 the production facility of Lindner Fassaden GmbH in Arnstorf was expanded. At the same time, Lindner got involved in the expansion of cruise ships . In 2009, Green Building was added as a new business area.

A subsidiary in China is founded. In 2005 the new “Doors” division expanded the company's product range. Since the takeover of the English facade specialist Schmidlin (UK) in 2007, system and special facades have also been produced in Arnstorf.

The first location for office, commercial and residential centers was realized in Sofia (Bulgaria) in 2000 . The Business Park Sofia for commercial and office space and the Residental Park Sofia for residential space were built on 200,000 m² .

Hotels, restaurants and breweries

In 2002 the moated castle in Mariakirchen was acquired and then fundamentally renovated. Since then it has been used as a conference center by employees and external companies. The following year, the Schlossbräu Mariakirchen was opened next to the castle . The brewery also has various function rooms.

In addition to the training center and the brewery, the Schlossparkhotel Mariakirchen was opened in 2007 . Other hotels under the name mk | hotels followed, some with the hotel's own breweries. in Berlin, Eschborn, Frankfurt, Munich, Remscheid, Rüsselsheim, Stuttgart and London. The first hotel in Mariakirchen gave the name.

The concept of the Group's hotels is based on creating overnight accommodation for employees at various Group locations close to the on-site office and filling unoccupied rooms with external visitors. Holiday apartments in Croatia are available under the name mk | apartments .

Other breweries in the group are the Rüsselsheimer Bräu and the Schillerbräu in Munich with their own Bavarian tavern. In addition, a brewery was acquired in Remscheid.

Agriculture

The Lindner Group has also been involved in sustainable agriculture since 2017. Sustainable organic farming with pigs and cattle was established exclusively in pasture and pasture slaughter. A mobile slaughter box was specially developed for this. The products can be purchased in the organic restaurant or farm shop directly on the farm in Leberfing, and at weekly markets in Lower and Upper Bavaria.

Foundations

In 1991 the Bavarian State Ministry approved the charitable Hans Lindner Foundation as a public foundation under civil law. Other social foundations for children and young people, such as the Fundatia Hans Lindner i ( Satu Mare , Romania) and the Lindner Foundation Uganda ( Kampala ) for orphans and neglected children were established in 1997 and 1999. The start-up foundation of the Hans Lindner Institute was approved as non-profit by the Bavarian State Ministry in 1999.

From KGaA to KG

On January 31, 1991, Lindner Holding KGaA was entered in the commercial register of the Landshut Local Court. After the squeeze-out in 2009, the holding became a family company . On November 11, 2010 the company was renamed the Lindner Group KG . The Lindner Group is now the lead company. She controls 80 independent companies and many independent branches and business areas.

Fire accident in 2015

On May 23, 2015, six employees of the Lindner Group were killed in the fire of a rented guest house in Schneizlreuth . Together with other colleagues, they were on a company outing with which the company wanted to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
