Adrian Iliescu

Ionel Adrian Iliescu (* 1981 in Bucharest , Romania ) is a classical violinist . He has been the 1st concertmaster of the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra since 2013.

Life

Iliescu studied at the Musikhochschule Lübeck , where he was a student of Christiane Edinger and graduated with a diploma in 2006. In 2010 he obtained the concert exam at the Hamburg Music Academy with Kolja Blacher . He was introduced to chamber music by the American quartet player Walter Levin .

From 2004 to 2010 he was concertmaster of the Lübeck Philharmonic. From 2010 to 2013 he was one of the first violins of the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra . In 2013 he came to the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra as 1st concertmaster and was meanwhile deputy 1st concertmaster in the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra .

At the Martha Argerich Festival in the Laeiszhalle , he gave chamber music concerts with many greats from the classical music scene.
