Adrian Urban
Adrian Urban (* 1966 ) is a German psychotherapist, publicist and non-fiction author.
Life
Adrian Urban grew up as the son of the science journalist Martin Urban in Munich ; his younger brother is the architectural historian and university professor Florian Urban (* 1970). After studying psychology in Marburg and Berlin , he completed additional training as a behavior therapist, during which he already worked as a lecturer and regular article writer for the Süddeutsche Zeitung and other national newspapers.
Since 1999 Urban has also been an independent non-fiction author in the field of psychology and education. Urban's book How does psychotherapy work developed - despite only moderate response from the specialist audience - to an insider tip among mentally ill people who can do little with doctors' Latin and the codes on their findings and would like to know a little more about their findings.
Urban's most important book to date, Love with an Appendix , has developed into a kind of standard work on the problems and approaches to solving stepfamilies .
Urban has been working as a registered psychotherapist in a private practice near Munich since 2003; since 2010 he has been living in Berlin again, where he also works therapeutically in a private practice. In addition to non-fiction books, he also writes novels, which he has not yet published under real names.
